Market read: regime, breadth, SuperTrend and the Avoid list
Platform ·
The state of the crypto market on one screen: regime, breadth, funding stress, breakouts to yearly highs and a five-check Daily Read verdict.
At the top of Momentum & funding is a market read for Binance crypto perpetuals with at least $5M of turnover. The market regime is a score from 0 to 100 built from market breadth, the share of coins up over 30 days and where bitcoin stands against its 50-day average. Breadth is the share of coins above their own 200-day average. Funding stress shows whether longs or shorts are crowded across the market as a whole, and the breakout radar counts coins within 0.5% of their yearly high.
The regime is built from breadth (weight 50%), the share of coins up over 30 days (30%) and the position of BTC (20%): bitcoin above its 50-day average scores 100, below it 0. From 65 the regime reads as risk-on, at 35 and below as risk-off, and in between as neutral. Funding stress is the median z-score across coins: from +0.5 longs are crowded, from −0.5 shorts are, and in between funding is normal.

Daily Read boils it down to five checks: regime at 50 or above, breadth at 50% or above, bitcoin above its 50-day average, funding not overheated, and at least one breakout. Four or five passed reads look for longs, two or three selective, small size, fewer than that no new longs. The read waits until daily candles have loaded for at least 90% of coins; otherwise it would reflect only the most liquid ones.
Daily Read is a count of passed rules, not a forecast: it knows nothing about where the price goes next. A check with an unknown value counts as failed, and while there is too little data, a dash stands in place of the score. The calculation needs at least 50 coins with data, and funding counts once its history is loaded for at least 60% of coins. Hovering over a tile shows how it is calculated, and every number comes from the same screener rows.
Next to it are SuperTrend for the eight largest instruments on intervals from 15 minutes to a week (crypto or TradFi, depending on the open tab) and the Avoid list: coins that moved more than 25% in a day, where open interest turned over more than 10 times, or with funding above 300% a year. Entering those is a lottery: they are flagged in the tables and ringed in yellow on the flow map.
SuperTrend is calculated with ATR 10 and a multiplier of 3 on the 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily and weekly intervals; the direction is recalculated no more than once in five minutes. In crypto the rows are BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP and DOGE, then the largest by volume, up to eight in all; in TradFi they are the eight volume leaders. An up or down arrow shows the indicator's current direction and does not promise that the move will continue.

The Avoid list uses three rules: a daily move of 25% or more, turnover at least ten times open interest, or funding of 300% a year or more. The same rules keep coins out of the desk theses. The read uses only Binance data from the screener rows, with no outside sources. It describes the market by rule and is not investment advice; leveraged trading involves the risk of losing money.
